Dr. Candace Legg is a Post-Doctoral Psychology Fellow supervised by Louis Appiah-Kubi, PsyD and Barbara Urbanczyk, PsyD. She specializes in psychological assessment, including assessment of ADHD.
She earned her doctorate degree in Counseling Psychology from Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama. She completed her doctoral internship at The Ohio State University's Counseling and Consultation Service. Clinically, Dr. Legg has worked with a wide range of presenting concerns and client populations. She has experience and interest in working with alcohol and other substance use, anxiety, depression, ADHD, grief, and life transitions. Dr. Legg's therapeutic style is based in empowerment and client values. She helps clients identify what it is they really want (what can bring them purpose, meaning, and fulfillment), assists them in addressing the barriers that have been holding them back from achieving these goals, and supports them through the change process. Dr. Legg utilizes primarily Existential Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Brief Psychodynamic Therapy in her work with clients. |
