Child and Adolescent
Psychiatry
We provide mental health intakes, medication evaluations, psychological testing, and therapy/counseling services for adults. We use a holistic approach to evaluation with separate evaluation sessions for parents and children/adolescents, and we use evidence-based treatment guidelines to ensure safe and effective treatments.
Conditions we commonly diagnose and treat in children/teens include ADHD, depression, anxiety, learning disorders like dyslexia, trauma-related disorders like PTSD and reactive attachment disorder, Autism spectrum disorders, OCD, eating and feeding disorders like ARFID and anorexia/bulimia, phobias, and sleep disorders like nightmare disorder/night terrors and insomnia. Sometimes we recommend medications for these problems, sometimes we recommend therapy, and sometimes we recommend both.
We offer psychological testing services for diagnostic clarification, for ADHD, for learning disorders, and for Autism. These services help us make informed decisions about diagnose when the situation requires it or when parents or schools request it.
We also offer genetic testing services through our partnership with Genesight to help determine possible medication effectiveness and potential side effects of medications for those patients who have had negative experiences with previous medications, who have a family history of negative experiences with medications, or who request it to have information about medications before starting new medications for mental health treatment.
Our providers are credentialed with all major insurance companies and Medicaid.
