Kristy Reel is a certified psychiatric nurse practitioner, trained to diagnose and treat mental health disorders by prescribing medications and providing psychotherapy.
Psychology and mental health have always been among Kristy's primary interests. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Boston University. She then spent four years working as a Research Coordinator at The Ohio State University, working on an NIMH-funded study of psychotropic and behavioral treatment of aggression in children and adolescents with Autistic Spectrum Disorder. She then obtained a Master of Arts in Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Psychology from The Ohio State University. While taking a pause in her career to spend time having and caring for her family, she worked part-time as a Psychometrician (testing specialist) for Providers for Healthy Living for over 4 years. She then earned a Master of Science in Nursing from The Ohio State University, specializing in Psychiatric Mental Health advanced-practice nursing.
