Max is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with over 10 years of experience in counseling and crisis intervention. Max has a bachelor's degree in Spanish education, a master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. and a Certificate of Health in Sex Therapy. Max has worked in private practice, community suicide prevention, and schools. He works primarily with adults individually and in couples therapy.
Max believes improving our lives occurs when we have the courage to be curious about our thoughts, feelings, and bodily sensations and then identify compassionate ways to release what is not working.
Max's specialties include helping people overcome trauma, grief, major life changes, mind-body discomfort, compulsive sexual behaviors, and depression/anxiety. He primarily uses a Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy approach, as well as guided meditation and somatic psychotherapy.
