Katie is a registered and licensed dietitian nutritionist (RDN, LDN) who specializes in counseling individuals on topics related to food, nutrition, and eating behaviors. Katie is a transplant from Chicago where she graduated from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in Human Nutrition and completed her dietetic internship at UChicago Medicine. Katie started her dietitian career working inpatient and transitioned to outpatient care.
Katie is a firm believer in helping others heal their relationship with food and their bodies. She doesn't believe in “good” or “bad” foods and she does not discourage the intake of certain foods or a food group. All foods can fit into your everyday life! In her sessions her goal is to help clients break free from shame around food and gain confidence in their everyday life. Katie thoroughly enjoys meeting with her clients to focus on their holistic well-being in an empathetic and non-judgmental setting. She is a believer in meeting her clients where they are at and setting small weekly goals that lead to a healthy relationship between food, mind, and body. Katie has experience working with Intuitive Eating, HAES, chronic dieters, folks with anorexia, bulimia, ARFID, binge eating disorder, depression, anxiety, diabetes (including gestational), and cardiac conditions. |
