Professional Trainings

We now provide live, interactive, virtual/online continuing education opportunities to mental health providers in Ohio.
We are approved to issue CEU credits for social workers, counselors, marriage and family therapists, and psychologists.

Interested in Presenting a Live, Interactive, Virtual/Online CEU Training?

If you are a licensed mental health professional (MD, DO, CNP, PA, PhD, PsyD, LSW, LPC, MFT, etc.) and are interested in presenting a live, interactive, virtual/online/video CEU training on a mental health, substance use/addiction, ethics, or supervision topic for our facility, we would be glad to accept your proposal.

The pay is $100 per hour of training ($75 for presenting and $25 for preparation).  Training workshops can range from 3 hours to an entire day (6 or more hours with an unpaid hour for lunch).

Interested individuals with at least a masters degree and/or license as a mental health professional should send a CV/resume along with a written proposal with topic, outline, learning objectives, proposed length of training in hours, and dates/times available for training to the attention of Matthew Lowe, DO, CEO/Chief Medical Officer at CEU@providersforhealthyliving.com.

Please join us on January 29, 2021, for another VIRTUAL/ONLINE continuing education training:

Mental Health Resiliency After a Pandemic

This 3-hour video conference style session will be presented by Ria Dark, MS, LSW, SAP, MHFA, using Google Meet (an easy-to-use interactive video format).

We are in extraordinary times where we are dealing with a lengthy pandemic, civil unrest, and contentious division of populations. In the workplace, in communities, and in our personal lives, the upheavals can be debilitating. Learn how to develop resiliency in yourself and those that you serve, inclusive of their roles both at work and in life. We must be able to develop resiliency in managing the current pandemic and its repercussions on mental health if we are going to be effective ourselves. Mental Health Ambassadors need to be equipped to help in the challenges that clients are experiencing with balancing work and home, and in many cases, childcare. Communication adjustment is required for “business as usual” for providers and clients alike. Learn to manage your own feeling of grief, sense of shame and loneliness and actively adapt to a changing work environment while helping and supporting clients in need. Professionals attending this program will learn numerous effective interventions to promote the culture of eliminating stigma around challenges after a pandemic and an environment where everyone is encouraged to get help by accessing resources available to them.

Date:  January 29, 2021 (Friday)
Time:  9 AM - 12:15 PM
Where:  A GOOGLE MEET LINK WILL BE PROVIDED AFTER PAYMENT IS RECEIVED (NO SPECIAL SOFTWARE OR APP IS NEEDED TO ACCESS THE TRAINING FROM A COMPUTER, BUT A PHONE APP IS AVAILABLE FOR THOSE WHO WANT TO ACCESS THE TRAINING VIA PHONE)
Cost:  $65

Click here to pay for your training via PayPal (payment is required in advance):  PAYPAL

This program qualifies for 3 hours of CEU credit for social workers, professional counselors, marriage and family therapists, and psychologists.

We are now offering Virtual Visits to all patients to limit exposure during the COVID-19 pandemic.  This means current and new patients can continue to receive the mental health services they need in the safety and convenience of their own homes.

We are currently providing TELEHEALTH visits (online/virtual visits) during the COVID-19 pandemic.  All insurance companies (private and Medicaid) cover these therapy, medication, nutrition, and psychological testing visits with the same cost share (copays, deductibles, or coinsurance) as in-person visits.  These online visits are convenient, safe, effective, and easy to navigate.
