Kelsey is a clinical social worker trained to diagnose and treat mental and emotional disorders. Before joining Providers for Healthy Living, Kelsey was a clinician at UMCH Family Services, where she provided mental health services to children in schools and outpatient settings. She is the Team Leader for the School-Based Mental Health Services Team.
Kelsey specializes in treating children, adolescents, and adults with trauma recovery, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, crisis intervention, difficulty at school, and oppositional behaviors. She has specialized training in trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy and crisis intervention. Kelsey has a bachelors degree and masters degree in social work from The Ohio State University. She has experience working with children, adolescents, and families in residential, school, hospital, and outpatient settings. She received Level 1 Trauma and Loss Specialist Certification through the TLC Program. Kelsey is passionate about continuing education and developing in-depth knowledge of the impact of trauma on developing brains and providing effective treatment.
